Straight hair styles?
ok, well my hair is shoulder length and thick but straight. i am trying to grow it just below my chest. my bangs fall just under my chin and are almost grown out fully to the length of my hair. im known for wearing my hair the same everyday and im getting really bored with it. im willing to get it styled but not cut. are there anythings that i could try with my hair that i dont have to pay for? headbands, braids, anything? thanks!Straight hair styles?
I love doing my hair and here's some thing i do:
Braid it the night before after a shower while still wet on 4 sections on only the top lare of hair. When you wake up, straighten the hair left out and let out the rest.
Straighten your hair, thenput it in a high ponytail. Put in a thick headband with some pretty earrings.
Tie your hair off to the side (low) so thatit sits on your shoulder. Tie it with a pretty bow, or fake flower or something. Wear chandaleir earrings.
Braid it off to the side. (This looks SO cute)
Put it in a pomp, and a high ponytail.
Put mousse on your hair while its still wet, and scrunch it with the blow dryer angles up. You'll get pretty curls this way.
Get Suave's curling shampoo. (THIS REALLY WORKS) blow dry it. It will look like you curled it with an iron perfectly.
I'm obsessed with hair, so this is easy for me.
Hope i helped!Straight hair styles?
well you should just put french braided pigtails they are madd hott this season
though braids are cute, there's nothin better than straight, beautiful hair...live it up babe, some guy will find you just the way you are and will love your hair that way, i promise!
ur situation is the same as mine several years ago. it was a little bit longer than urs now, and i would wear my hair in a pony tail every day since it was so thick, and uncomfortable in the summer. try french braids, i got big hits with those with my friends, buy a topsy tail kit, and u can do different things with that, french braid 'pig tails' those are fun. but i eventually decided to chop my hair off, do now i can barely do anything, but i get bigger raves about my new style. keep growing ur hair, and if u decided to cut it, donate it locks of love! hope i helped a bit.

Im a black guy wanting straight hair style!?
Dont get me wrong, im not a self hater, alot of black men use to conk (straighten) their hair in the past, but i want straight hair because i like how it looks,i have a 3/4 inch afro, what do i have to use to straighen it, and i want to use it something safe that dosent like make my hair fall out or somethin, and after that how do i keep it straight?
heres my hair now:

and heres how i want it to look:

go to a salon and get your hair chemically relaxed or straightened.Im a black guy wanting straight hair style!?
You're talking about altering your hair texture, so there isn't a ';safe'; way to do it; your hair will incur some damage and relaxers will completely damage your hair.
Your second link is the same as the first. There are two ways you can get straight hair: chemically or thermally. Chemically is a relaxer and thermally (heat) is a flat iron or hot comb. Either way can cause major breakage and damage to your hair.
My little brother has the same ambitions lol.
*Try washing your hair and braiding it into 1/2 inch pieces. This de-tangles the hair, and makes it a little easier to straighten.
*Take a flat iron or hot comb (comb that you can let sit on top of a fire/stove), and slowly move from the root to the tip of the hair.
*Find a treatmeant product to maintain your hair 'do.
Getting a perm or relaxer would probably be easier, but maybe not as cheap.
Hope that helped!
you are okay that way..
They actually have something that is the reverse of a perm; instead of permanently curling your hair, it straightens it permanently (until it grows out, anyways). I *think* it's called a ';reverse perm'; but don't bet anything too valuable on that.
I'm guessing you don't want to spend an hour a day with a straightening iron, which would probably fry your hair anyways, so chemical treatments are pretty much the only option. You can't make your hair grow any straighter except by wearing it longer (which works on mildly wavy hair, but would most likely just give you a very big afro unless you chemically treat your hair first)
You might want to get it done at a salon, first, at least to know if it looks good if done properly. You can also get hair-care instructions for your newly straightened hair at the salon, rather than relying on sources like Yahoo Answers for that sort of thing; we're notoriously unreliable here.

Ideas for short straight hair style for mature woman?
I am a woman in my mid fifties, with a hair style that needs updating.
I found a picture I like, except that I know I would not want to fuss with spiking my hair. Can you point me in the direction of another picture that I can show the stylist that looks similar, but is not spiked?
The picture I was looking at is:

Hot straight hair style?
It's my birthday tonight, and I'm having a party with a bunch of my friends... I have wavy, long, dark brown hair with layers and a side bang... I don't think I want to curl my hair tonight, but I don't want it to be boring and plain straight either... I've washed it and let it dry naturally at this point. Any ideas of how I should style it? Details, how-to's, and even pictures are appreciated!Hot straight hair style?
wear it natural. spray some salt water in your hair, or use some mousse.Hot straight hair style?

you could do it like this, but then stop at the side of your hair and to a messy side bun.

I want to get a thinner and straighter hair style?
I have thick and when it gets shorter it gets wavy. I want to get it cut and thinned and want it look better so that I don't have to just throw it up in pony tail all the time.I want to get a thinner and straighter hair style?

just cut it thinner at the bottom using upward snips on little sections... and use a straightening iron... use high heat right after showering and blow drying... it will stay straight until you wash it again. once straight, mist some hair spray on and brush it. should look gorgeous :]
Get about shoulder length hair with lots of layers. Ask your stylist to thin it out a bit too. Umm, maybe get some side bangs also.

Straight Hair Styling Tips?
I have super straight hair, that I even straighten more in the mornings before school to get rid of any extra waves.. but i am pretty sick of that style. I never do anything besides leave my hair down because I'm never sure of the possibilites.. i dont even ponytail it because im not sure how to get it how i want it.
anyways: any tips of any kind of styling i could do with my straight hair to make it more exciting?
Any tips would help!Straight Hair Styling Tips?
You can put your hair half up in a ponytail and leave the rest down. It gives kind of a sophisticated look. You can also get a jaw clip and take the top half of your hair, and messily just twist it, and put the clip in. It's messy, yet cute! You can try scrunching your hair, or curling your hair at night so you won't have to do anything in the morning. Putting your hair in a slick ponytail is always chic.Straight Hair Styling Tips?
gloss up ur hair
curl the ends with your straightener, add some hair spray for some volume
What you could do is get a really good straightener like a chi, and curl the ends in or out to add a little definition. You can also use the straightner to make your hair wavy. Maybe also you could get side bangs and they will make a lot of different face shapes look really good.
well my sugestion is that youu should play around with your hair such as bangs are really cute with straight hair and curls in the ends that would look so gorgeous on you. :D
put a ';poof'; on your head!
do a messy ponytail... the less perfect, the better
cut your hair shorter, and flip it out
side ponies are coming back...
use texturizer pomade/wax and ';play'; with your hair
pretty much the idea is working with your imperfections

Naturally super straight hair... style suggestions?
I have extremely straight dark blonde hair that comes down 2-3 inches below my shoulders. To about my boobs, I guess lol. I take a shower every morning, brush it, then blowdry it. You cannot tell a difference between my hair and my bff's straightened hair-- that's how straight it is.
I feel like my only options are leave it down, pull it up, or half up/half down. Any other suggestions?Naturally super straight hair... style suggestions?
haaa, i have the same type of hair!
try:
leaving it down
leaving it down and curling it (takes a while, but it's an option)
leave it down and flip out the sides (with a round brush and hair dryer)
leave it down and flip in the sides (with a round brush and hair dryer)
pulling it up with a clip
pulling it up with a hair tie
half up/half down in a medium clip
half up/half down in a hair tie
pull back your bangs (if you have them, if not then where your bangs would be) with a barrett (sp?)
pull back your bangs with a tiny clip
pull back the front of your hair with a medium-small clip. (sort of like a ';poof';)
loose and low pig tails
pig tails
tightly braided pig tails
loosely braided pig tails
half up/half down braided (braided from the pony tail part)
leave it down with just a small braid somewhere
pull it up with a braided pony tail
pull it up into a messy bun
pull it up into a tight ';ballerina'; bun
pull it up, braid it, then wrap it into a bun
braid your bangs/front of your hair and clip it back
1/4 up-3/4 down
side pony tail
side pony tail with headband
leave it down with headband
pull it up with headband
half up/half down with headband
hope this helps!
ps: add you can mix and match all of these, adding in crimping or curling your hair! add in bobby pins, barretts, clips, and headbands too!Naturally super straight hair... style suggestions?
sure. wash it the night before (unless it gets greasy really easily then wash it that morning) then use a texturizing gel or spray, then curl it. use lots of hairspray.
or you could do the same thing but use a triple barrel iron to get a wavy look.
either way, use plenty of humidity resistant hairspray.
You could get a thermal-active setting spray and curl it in big curls (with this spray, it will hold), then you will have some support for a new style. You could try this spray and hot rollers.
Good luck to ya!

What the difference between straight hair style and relaxed hair style?
i was looking in my 17 mag %26amp; was looking @ the different styles....
i was kinda confused so helpWhat the difference between straight hair style and relaxed hair style?
relaxed usually means the hair was chemically treated in order to stay straight, can be done with perm solution or chemical relaxer, and is permanant. Straight hair style is done by product and either a blow dry style or is done with a straightener, and is not permenantWhat the difference between straight hair style and relaxed hair style?
well really there isn't much of a difference, but relaxed hair is for people who have course hair which puts chemicals in your hair making your roots straighter and straighting out the new growth. Anyone can rock a straight hair style it's just HOW they rock it...depending on thier hair type
Strait hair is when you straiten it, relaxed style is when you just..... well don't do anything to it and it kinda just is slightly wavy.

Straight hair styles?
I have medium length straight hair right now(it's naturally curly but I straighten it),and I always have the same hairstyles over and over.Like in a ponytail, leaving it down or putting it half up half down.Any ideas for something different?Straight hair styles?
- Simple plaits
- 2 ponytails on both side (kindergartens or primary school girls love them tied high up but they look good on adults too, provided that you tie them low and a little loose)
- Tie a ponytail, make a hole above the hair band and insert the ponytail thru the hole
- Bun
- Tie half of your hair up first then tie the remaining ones together, you can make it into 3 or 4 layers as well
- Get a bandanna
- If you have a long fringe, take about 4 or 5 colorful hair clips and divide your fringe into 4 or 5 portions vertically. Comb them to the back and clip them together with some hair at the back depending on the size of your hair clips
These are the simple ones that I recommend. I have not straighten my hair before as I have straight hair so I'm not sure if you want to try those complicated plaits which will give a temporary curl to your hair after removing. Try observing others and have fun experimenting!Straight hair styles?
Straight hair down
You can wear it down but add crimping to it or even a braid:
http://www.easy-formal-hairstyles.info/2
You can try this updo. Just make a high pony tail and tease your roots. Just some volumizing spray/moose.
http://www.healthandbeauty.net.au/images
I would curl it on some days. Curls are really pretty and they add a lot of volume to your hair.
Hope this helps.
Headbands, side pig tails with the band by your ears
One of my favorites is to loosely put it in a bun leaving a few strands to kind of dangle down you know kind of messy. It looks nice but still says I like to have fun. I would also look through magazines while I wait to check out at the store and you can get great ideas from the celeb pic.

Either or. I actually prefer a mixture of the two. ----------------------GUYS; do you prefer a girl with a curly hair style, or a straight hair style?
straight
but curly is also nice
as long as it is not too curly if you know what i mean
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;
Whatever you feel comfortable with.
Trust me, guys dont give a crap about your hair..
But if a guy wont go on a second date with you because of your hair (like seriously) he's not worth it then..because there's more important things for you and him to worry about...
,Katy =)
hmm, depends how curly it is. If it is very curly, then straighten it .
but if it is naturally straight or wavy then leave it.
haha 2 years ago in high school prom my girl friend always had her hair straight and to impress me she did it curly, and she still looked pretty but to tell you the truth i really did not like it, definitely straight...
Straight hair works for me, but curly would be nice.
my hair is curly and my boyfriend's is straight
I prefer straight hair. I have straight hair and don't like curly.
Guys don't give a **** about a girls hair. Only girls care about hair.
Curly to the point of an Afro!
Gals with fros are awesome!
Straight hair always.
Straight
Any. As long as it looks good on the girl
straight by a longshot.............
m not a guy ........but guys mostly prefer to Straight hairs.......

hey dude,
well your hairstyle does suit you, try ';scene'; and may-be adding some colour to your hair,
may-be keep the bangs but layer the hair-im no boy hair expert,,,
try different styles rather than just sticking with a simple old style.
have you tried to straighten your hair, it will suit your sense of style im guessing ....
Good luck
Hopes i helps!
RdaWhat straight hair style should i get help please?
keep it the same kind of style as what it is, it suits you.
just go to the hairdresser and get it trimmed up a bit with a bit more style so that it doesnt look so..shabby.
maybe something like this?

What finishing product will keep my straight hair style, stay straight ALL night?!?!?
Ok, I'm Persian and if you know anything about Persian hair, you know that for the most part, it's thick and curly.
I haven't relaxed my hair in a long time, which I need to do. I use Frizz Ease products, which work great and I can get my hair pretty smooth and straight with the products, blow dryer and ceramic hair iron.
BUT, when I go out for the night, my hair becomes veryy sensitive and can change its look just a bit here and there and I dont like that. I look kinda different at the end of the night.
What hair product will keep my hair in place?! I want something that will prevent any poofing/frizzing, especially from humidity. I use the Frizz Ease finishing cream, but it doesnt work as PERFECTLY as I want it to. I probably need some salon product to hold it in place, but I dont know which one!
Other Persian girls can get their hair to stay perfectly straight all night...why can't I?!
Any suggestions? advice? comments? What finishing product will keep my straight hair style, stay straight ALL night?!?!?
PERFECTLY is obviously your key word here. The answer is none will work as well as you'd like. Not even salon products.
Moisture affects how your hair stands up. I had a GF who would straighten her hair and in Las Vegas weather she was fine, but on the Cali coast, for get it! She'd had this flip going by the end of the night.
Anyway, you can't keep 100% moisture content out of your hair for extended periods. It is why ceramic irons work. They dry your hair.
You would have to have a styling product resist moisture on every strand of hair to get it to work perfectly, and that just won't happen.
Good luck. What finishing product will keep my straight hair style, stay straight ALL night?!?!?
im thinking a little hair spray.
like dont spray it close.
but make sure u get enough
too close will make it too greesy
but they spray it then brush it threw
and then do that about 3 times
everything should be set nicely
without being hard or looking greesy
thats what i do
and im italian and spanish
or my hairs thick and curly too
i know how you feel believe me
ya me too........plz help me with that also
i don't know
umm, i dony know.. use um wats that called?
HAIRSPRAY!
lol. that will let it stay frizz free. it doesnt really matter wat brand u get.
Wagwan
what u has to do is get Remington straightener's
go to a hairdressers and get them to
perm you hair straight wen they done dat then you has to
straighten it about 1-3 times a day for about 10 dayz den it should stay straight all tha time
if not then do it all again
good luck blud
I used One 'N Only: Curl Remover recently. LOVE it! I have semi tight spirl curls that frizz easily. I use Frizz Ease and a small amount of leave-in conditioner.
Tresemme began in salons therefore working with all types of hair I imagine, I haven't bought myself bit have two friends which use their products, One has naturally curly hair and one which has very very thick wavy hair.
Can be expensive, but worth a one off purchase to try out ;)

What straight hair style looks gudd with a v neck? Im a guy.?
im going to start wearing v necks a lot cuz im changing my style. rite now my hair is a blowout but im not sure if that fits with my new style. so i have short hair purty much. what hair style fits with it! ? Thank you! What straight hair style looks gudd with a v neck? Im a guy.?
A regular taper cut or any of the short pomp styles-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- look great with a v neck, crew neck or any prep style.

[A crew cut is a timeless prep haircut, the photo directly above is from 1946, and yet if the photo was in color, both the guy and the clothes he is wearing could be in the latest J Crew catalog. ]
Grooming any of the short pomp styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same.
1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
Whichever style you decide on, take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber or stylist.
Good Luck!
