Here's what I'm thinking: for people with straight hair, a bob is classic, it's elegant, and it's timeless. It will never go out of style. What's the equivalent--a classic, elegant, timeless style for those of us with natural curls? Bonus--pictures I can take to my stylist. What's a good, medium length curly hairstyle?
i think long curly hair like shakira is timeless styleWhat's a good, medium length curly hairstyle?

Sweetie, my best bet would be to do somewhat of a bob as well.

I say, do a bob such as Marilyn Monroe.
It's classic, elegant, and timeless.
I hope that I've helped.
Let me know how it all turns out, love. =)
I am a hair stylist, and I actually have curly hair. My hair is right on top of my shoulders. There are great ways to wear curly hair, long or short. Depending on what ';medium length'; means to you, it is kinda of hard to answer your question. But the style I have, is, my hair is shorter and stacked in the back, and then comes longer in front towards my face. No layers in front, except for a few wispey bands or some pieces that you would want a little more choppy (my hair was cut with a razor) I am able to wear it all straight, or all curly, or even soften my curls with a big barrel curling iron. I also wear it straight in the front and curly in the back. It is a very easy hair cut to wear, not very time consuming if you are in a hurry. I love it. And it is also a very stylish/sexy do that is in for all seasons! Good Luck.
ummm try this ...... put your bangs/ hair in front pulled back with a clip.. and take a medium sized curling iron and curl in small sections thats what i do works everytime...
I Love the Bob, take a look at these two examples:
