What is a good curly hairstyle for a homecoming dance when the girl has thick hair?

My sister's homecoming dance is tomorrow and she would like curly hair but her hair is really thick and it doesn't hold a curl well at all. What's a good way to curl her hair? It's about shoulder length.What is a good curly hairstyle for a homecoming dance when the girl has thick hair?
I hate to say this....but...dirty hair. Have her not wash her hair that day.


There are also much better curling irons out there....as you do the curl, spray hairspray while its in the iron, you will see some steam...it's ok...your not gonna cause a fire. Release the iron from it carefully...


Also look for a ';mega'; hold hairspray.
