I have very long, curly hair. It comes about half way down my back and my curls are bouncy, tight ones. My hair is also extremely frizzy. I've tried several differnt products, pantene restoratives, frizz-ease, fructis, Infusium..in mouses, serums, gels, shampoos and conditioners, but it still gets frizzy. I do not want to cut it, it is a pain but I'm pretty attached to it. Also, I don't have time to straighten it, it takes over 3 hours and it doesn't even look that good. Whenevr I wear it out it gets really puffy. It seems like the only thing I can do with it is put it in a pony tail. I need some suggestions for what I can do with it for styles that aren't too time consuming or fancy but will allow me to switch it up rather than wearing a ponytail day in and day out. Also, if anyone has hair they think may be simialr and have found any products particularly useful for taming the frizz, let me know. I really need some ideas for styles though, Thanks!Long, curly hairstyles?
First things first never ever go to a Regis salon in the malls. They permed my hair with huge rollers, thinned it, charged me for a conditioner that was never used. I had long, thick hair that I get permed for the curl. A Stylist at Wal Mart gave me the best solution to keeping my hair under control. Any gel product and a small amount of Foaming Pomade. Mix them in your hands and apply to wet hair. I love this as your hair actually looks dry not wet and crunchy. I have only found the foaming pomade in salons, Paul Mitchell. The small bottle is $12.50, well worth the price as you use a small amount each time. Good Luck!Long, curly hairstyles?
i also have long hairs but straight it depends on the face that does it suit's or not and curly hairs are also cool don't try extra things on your hair or they will get damaged and they will not come again.
I have hair like that although it doesnt have tight curls on top just underneath (Ive straightened it so much that the hair is losing its curl factor even after washing it) I dont like losing my hair length either so when I go to the hair dressers I just ask them to take out the heavyness, so they layer it and thin it, which makes a big difference. I sometimes wear my hair half up half down, having the top part quite high up and just leave the softer underneath curls exposed. I know you said you dont like straightening it but I have thick hair and I use remington wet to straight wide plates cos they get really hot and they make my hair seem so much thinner, it takes me ages too but its worth it. After you have washed your hair and its a little damp get some dark and lovely hair cream (dont use too much though or your hair will look greasy) you can get it in most chemists, its in a pink and purple tube.
I think I have similar hair to yours and I use mixedchicks products theyre sooo gooooooood !! you can order a free sample at mixedchicks@aol.com or go to their website mixedchicks.net. Good luck
