Curly hairstyles- need some suggestions?

I have thick natural curly/wavy hair. my hairsylist was telling me the other day that no parting would look better on me. I am not sure what she meant but I think she meant center parting. But I have always felt that center partings look geeky on me.

Anyway I saw this Emmy Rosum hairstyle and I think this is what my hairstylist was thinking, here is the link:

so how do i get Emmy Rosum's look, cause everytime i do a center parting it makes me look geeky. any suggestions.

also if you know what my hairsylist meant when she suggested center parting, show me some photos.Curly hairstyles- need some suggestions?
I'm not a fan of a centered part either. Maybe don't do it as far to side as you have it or if you don't have very far to the side, move it closer. A tip about getting your hair like an actress is you can get the cut but you have to spend some time to get the curl. Even those with naturally curly manes like Taylor Swift spend tons of time in hot rollers and a curling iron. If you want hair like this you'll have to spend a little extra time on it. The cut is great though and I'm sure it would like great on you.Curly hairstyles- need some suggestions?
Hello, hello before anything you're very beautiful. Keep yourself like this.

Well my approach to this is really simple. I knew this girl and she used to said that shampoo is a detergent and blah, blah, blah, blah, so the way she washed her hair was very particular only w/conditioner. (yea!!!! bs conditioner isn't a detergent um-mmm) After she rinsed and dried w/ a towel and after she applied more conditioner and fixed with her fingers the way she liked. Seems that works, at least in her, would you like to try?? ynk!
You should probably go with a messy side parting. A parting at the side but not neat - nobody really suits a clean defined parting.. looks dorky! lol

centre parting pretty much means centre parting.

and it does not look geeky.

usually you don't just part it yourself, you get it cut so that it stay natural into that part.
