How do I grow out my extreme angled bob hair style?

My hair is cut into an extremely angled bob. It is short in the back and hits just below my chin in the front. It is a really cute hair style and I like it a lot but I am ready for a change. How do I go about growing it out? I am not sure about how to cut it so that it can grow. Also, I do not have bangs, my hair is very thick and wavy and so I get it thinned out a lot. I also use a straightening iron on it. I use Biosilk on it to protect it from the hot iron. Any suggestions would be nice. Thinning it out a lot is not the answer all it does is cuts your hair in certain spots you need a good straightener prosilk digitals are good ... straightening is fine this is the same hair cut i had, it was tough to grow out of course but I just kept trimming the front till it caught up. When it grows back out you will have a lot of cool layers. It takes time. You have to get creative in hair styles though. i spiked it for a while, when it got long i straightened it, or messed up the back or scrunched it.
