What are some hairstyles for curly hair?

I have always dreamed of having side bangs and straight silky smooth hair. But there's only one problem, I have thick curly frizzy blonde hair and no bangs. I have a HUGE forehead, and everyone

Says I should get bangs, but I can't. I inherited my curly hair from my dad (my dad has curly

hair, mom has straight hair). My sister got the straight hair from my mom (totally unfair!). I get to watch my sister and mom get side bangs

and highlights and all kinds of stuff straight

haired people can get. And I can't get anything

done to my hair because of shrinkage and

highlights damage curls.



*I was thinking about getting my

Hair cut to my shoulders like I

Did last summer. But when it's curly it triangles out, and is to short to put in a ponytail. I have to straighten it everyday, which damages it. But it looks gorgeous straight!!! Is that a good idea?
