Good hairstyles for curly hair?

I have wavy to curly hair but I usually keep my hair short. Usually it's a 3 on top and a 2 for the sides, however I want to try something different. I want to grow my hair a little but I don't know any good hairstyles since I never keep it long. Suggestions?Good hairstyles for curly hair?
I am the same way, I keep my hair short cause it's easy to manage and don't have to fuzz about it, but there are times when I just want to have straight hair.

When it comes to longer curly hair, here are the basics I've learned.





Leave in conditioner, its necessary as hair gets longer, it also gets drier! Garnier makes a great one





Don't get a ';straight cut'; style, it leaves you with a triangle poof!





Find a hair dresser that is experienced with curly hair, and is willing to cut it dry, that way you get a true to lenght cut.. otherwise, it shrinks up about 4 inches [more when its longer for some reason!] rather than the inch of short hair wet to dry.





Long layers have always worked well for me, I start my shortest layer around my eye level and get a little longer from there.





My hair is shoulder length too.





Don't let them rope you into a easy to straighten style!
