I am a bbw and I have long thick hair with loose spiral curls. It is all the same length, so there are no limitations for a style. I have had the exact same hairstyle for over 10 years now and am really wanting something new.
The problem:
1. Curly hair gets frizzy. So short curly hair with frizz is just an afro. I obviously don't want this.
2. I am fat. With a fat face you can't have certain cuts or you just look worse.
3. I only have about 30 mins to do anything with my hair after I get out of the shower, so I need something quick and easy to do.
Any help would be awesome!! Thanks! :DAny ideas on some hairstyles for curly hair with a round face?
Hi, im not a hairdresser but i have a round face with curly hair as well...
First I would advise you to get a hairdresser who understands curly hair or else you'll get curls flying all over the place or it looks bad when naturally dried. DO NOT DO A BOB OR MUSHROOM cut... i find hair cuttery always does that and it is not flattering at all...
the goal is to create less volume around the face. You also want to minimize the appearance of roundness in your face.
Styles that are flattering and stylish: Try cuts that fall just below the chin. Soft, graduated layers are a great bet because they make your face appear slimmer and tend to remove bulk and weight from the sides. Consider wispy and tapered ends. These de-emphasize the roundness of your face. Bangs are flattering, but keep them long or sideswept.
Avoid: One-length, blunt cuts if you have short hair. Curly, short hair is also a no-no. These only emphasize your roundness. Trust me it looks really bad.
i personally am not a bang person and i like long hair. My hair is naturally thick and volumized as well, so i ask for one longer layer in the back and then a shorter layer just below my chin line that accents the face (with wispy or tapered ends)... (i find that too many layers makes your hair look poofy and way too volumized) it looks great straightened but when i don't have time to spend 1 hr to straighten my hair it still looks sexy/stylish/wavy/curled when its down...
most people recommend a shorter haircut or around the chin area but if you do the layers with tapered or soft layers which i recommended it looks good really long as well... ive grown out my hair pretty long and it still looks good.
you can look at my picture at web.mac.com/rumply_sheens under the about me section if you have no idea what i'm talking about lol. or maybe its on my profile on yahoo im not sure.
I also let my hair dry naturally and then put it up in a high pony tail unbrushed (or else it looks frizzy and 80's like...) and i do that whole messy/sexy/curly look when i really don't have time or i do a bun but let the end of the curls come out at the top so its still sophisticated.
hope this helps you outAny ideas on some hairstyles for curly hair with a round face?
