Help on hairstyles for curly hair! - want to go short!?

okay.... so i have really strange hair....... basically its in 3 main layers - the top layer is kinda wavy/poofy, the second layer is a wavy/curly, and the third layer is like spiral curls - super curly.... so basically my hair is curly underneath and poofy/wavy on top





right now its very long - like an estimation - 1 1/2 feet or so.......





and i really really want to go short... but im scared if i go short that its just going to pooof up and be a huge mess... so can someone please give me some advice





1. if you have similar hair to mine, do you recommend cutting it short or just leaving it long


2. i would love it if someone could just give me some pictures of short/curly hairstyles - just for an idea, because i can't seem to find any...

I have hair just like yours! I actually just got it cut into what is called a graduated bob. Basically it's like Katie Holmes hair used to be but without the bangs and obviously curly. It looks super cute and it's really easy. All I do is put Finesse mousse in it and blowdry it with a diffuser. Sometimes when the front curls up weird I'll go over it with a curling iron. i swear i have three layers too and my hair does the same thing OMG!! yea but i found this Garnier Fructise soft curl cream.It comes in a green container and after i get out of the shower i put this and leave-in-conditioner in my hair and let it air dry , or blow dry with a diffuser and it comes out great trust me. I got it at target but you can get it at walmart and riteaid and places like that too:)
