I have really curly hair. It's layered and shoulder length. I hate it but everyone always says they want my hair. I straighten usually before I go to bed (which takes about two or three hours) and leave it straight for two or three days then wash it really good with a deep conditioner. Whenever I DO wear it curly, I put it in a bun or RARELY leave it down. Recently people have been making fun of my forehead at school (because my forehead's huge!!!) They said I was #8 on The 7th Grade's Most Ugliest People List. So, of coarse, now I think I should get bangs. What are the best kind of bangs for curly hair??? Is that a god idea? What are some hairstyles for curly hair?
When you are answering this question remember:
*I have really curly poofy hair.
*I have a big forehead!
*I straighten my hair a lot.
*I have an oval face.
*I have green eyes.Hairstyles for curly hair.?
If you get bangs, make sure that they're side bangs that blend into your hair. Blunt bangs won't look good. Get a haircut with lots of layers so it won't triangle out.
STOP STRAIGHTENING IT. Trust me, you will regret it later. It KILLS your hair. Instead, what you need to do...
Take a shower in the morning. Towel dry your hair until it's damp, then apply some sort of cream to it (my favorite -http://www.garnierusa.com/_en/_us/our_products/products_styling.aspx?tpcode=OUR_PRODUCTS^PRD_STYLING^FRUCTIS_STYLE^FRUCTIS_STYLE_DISCOVER^STYLE_PLAY%26amp;prdcode=P60073 but you might have to experiment to find what works best for you) then scrunch it a little. then, flip your head upside down and blowdry it until it's almost dry. Leave it to airdry so it won't frizz as much. Then, put any sort of shine serum on it, but be careful only to use a little or else your hair will look greasy. If you have time, you can put it on each curl individually and it looks fantastic, but if not just smooth some over the ends. Also, carry around a bottle of hand lotion with you, and if your hair gets frizzy in the middle of the day, just smooth some of that on. It sounds weird, I know, but it works :)
Also, you might want to consider some deep conditioner or hot oil treatments (you can just buy these at a drugstore) to repair the damage done by straightening and fight some of the frizzies.
Hope I helped :)
